Roses are red, violets are blue, we love geocaching, how about you?

February is the month of love. What better way to celebrate than with a cache that blends romance with the joy of discovery? Whether you’re out on a date, exploring with your favorite caching buddy, or flying solo, Locks of Love (GC6QJGE) is a sweet way to add some passion to your hunt.

This week, we transport you to Singapore: a place known for diversity, vibrance, and futuristic cityscapes; but hidden in a perfectly romantic location, is a sweet geocache sure to be memorable for both cachers on a mission and tourists stopping for pictures.

The posted coordinates will bring you near a mall, quickly shifting your focus to the real attraction: a red, larger-than-life, heart-shaped structure with a “locks of love” set-up.

On the cache page, the cache owner, justforjoys, wrote:

Love locks are a symbol of love and commitment. This is the place where lovers lock a padlock on a chain or gate and then throw away the key, symbolically locking their love forever. These love padlocks are an expression of hope and humanity, connecting people around the world with the one thing that unites us all: love.”

This is where the fun begins. The container is well camouflaged among thousands of others. Look among the many charming and quirky locks to find a bigger lock box with the cache name written on it.

You’ll be certain the lock in question is the correct one when you turn it over to find a geocaching logo. Celebrate this success, as another challenge presents itself shortly—not only do cachers have to find the correct lock, but to keep this charming cache safe, justforjoys has integrated a field puzzle.

Geocachers must answer four questions on the cache page to open the lockbox and logbook.

Once you sign the log sheet and trade some SWAG, carefully close the lock box and rotate the numbers to a different position, to not give away the pin. And there you have it: another smiley, Valentine’s Day edition.

Locks of Love (GC6QJGE) was inspired by the cache owner and their partner’s love story. They first met while dancing in Singapore’s dance scene, where their love of dance became the foundation of their connection. Thanks to the cache owner and their cache placement, many other geocachers can now celebrate their love at this location.
