In this spooky yet thrilling geocache adventure, two skeletons lay the path for an adventure so grand, it will rattle your bones! Come with us on a grave expedition to our Geocache of the Week, Skeletter på skattejagt (GC228Z1).

Imagine this: on a cold, blustery day, you come across two skeletons sitting on a seaside bluff, examining a map. Listening to their conversation, you realize that these members of the undead have a history of pillaging on the open sea. What’s more—there’s still a treasure to be found!

Cache owner tertia aetas lays the scene out perfectly on the cache page. They even provide the map abandoned by the skeletons as they fled! Unfortunately, that’s not the only thing they left: a curse on anyone who touches the much sought-after treasure.

Would you take the risk?

Those who choose to tempt the fates begin their journey where the skeletons were observed. You’ll need to carefully examine their conversation, as it has as many twists and turns as the stone spiral shown on the map.

The cache page also recommends bringing something to take notes. No one said treasure hunting was easy!

Based on the map and the instructions on the cache page, there are three key areas you’ll need to focus on:

1. The skeletons’ location
2. Igor’s grave
3. The mysterious stone spiral

To complicate matters even more, the skeletons talk about a string, ten fathoms long. You’ll need this clue to untangle the puzzling directions.

It’s easy to find the locations the skeletons left on the map. The geographical features are unique and surely will be easy to find. Find these locations and decipher how they’re related to one another, and you’ll be on your way to finding treasure!
