What’s more iconic than geocaching and Paris? Geocaching in Paris!

It’s not every day that one of the most recognizable structures is the backdrop for a geocache outing, but today it is! This Geocache of the Week, Eiffel TB Palace (GC80C9Q), is not one to miss.

This geocache is available 24/7 in the heart of Paris, tucked away in a rare quiet area that allows you to enjoy the sounds of the Seine River. Placed in 2019, this Letterbox Hybrid geocache has already had over 2,300 visitors, and it’s clear why. Geocache owner Arnokovic thought about every last detail when creating it.

Paying close attention to the Travel Bug® items listed on the cache page will help guide geocachers to crack the code. Here’s a clue from the cache page: “However, the main occupant has kept the access code! How to find it? It’s inventory, my dear Watson!”

Once inside, oodles of Travel Bug® items, geocoins, stickers, and SWAG fill the box with fun stories and memories from miles traveled. These items often have unique stories attached to them, from the places they’ve been to the people who have handled them. It wouldn’t be a Letterbox Hybrid without a stamp, so don’t forget to add the new stamp to your collection.

Geocachers from around the globe have journeyed to this TB Hotel, leaving behind not only trackables but also heartwarming stories.

This geocache has even caught the eye of a Lackey, Captain_Cookie, who shared why it’s one of his Favorites.

“This cache is special for so many reasons. The GZ is across the River Seine from the Eiffel Tower, and the area is often flooded with tourists. When I found this cache, it felt like the cache owner guiding me to a secret world that only a local would think to visit! The cache was a postal box with trackables from all over the world. I’ve never felt more connected to the geocaching community than when I found this exceptional cache!”
