Walk of Lego — Geocache of the Week – Official Blog

One could say, ”that one lego is too much” but that’s just a thing of the past. Cache owner, Bernd2010, felt that one is just not enough. Hidden near Lego® Berlin, is a geocache that pays homage to the most Favorited geocache of all time (GC13Y2Y).

The thought was that this (now archived) geocache deserved a star on its own Walk-of-Fame, not too far from the famous LEGO giraffe that hid the original.

When you arrive at the location in downtown Berlin, you’re surrounded by tall buildings and the bustling of cars, buses, and pedestrians touring the streets. The architecture here is thoughtful and contemporary, and upon closer examination, there’s more than meets the eye.

Approaching the cache, you can see the original giraffe in the distance, a red-brick road, and bronze stars built into the sidewalk. There’s a placard somewhere nearby with smaller metal stars laid on top of it. Now your search for geocaching stardom begins.

Search high, search low—but know you don’t have to shoot for the stars to find this geocache, or in other words, it’s within reach. The container itself is a wooden star with a giant LEGO attached to it. This is reminiscent of the original geocache hidden nearby on the giraffe and your way of taking part in geocaching history!

Many geocachers in the gallery still take a picture with the giraffe to remember the original hide, which amassed 11,736 Favorite points—this one just hit its first milestone, reaching over 1000 Favorite points since November 2021.
