We’re going to the cliff edge to find this Geocache of the Week! Navigate the maze to find the geocache and earn the smiley. Follow us to find Escadinhas – Carvoeiro (GCWKCV) in Portugal!

Located near the breathtaking tourist attraction, Algar Seco, this geocache is a must-find. Algar Seco is a mesmerizing wonderland of tunnels, grottos, caves, cliffs, and windows to the sea, sights that will leave you in awe.

Geocachers can spend hours exploring the area, walking along the grotto to cliff jump, checking out the boardwalk trails that run from Algar Seco to a viewpoint of Carvoeiro, and traveling the rocky coastline, where unique photo opportunities are scattered throughout.

The limestone cliffs have been eroded by the sea and rain, creating a wonderland of unique rock formations fit for a geocache! Geocachers must navigate through the maze to find the small geocache hiding somewhere in the middle.

While the geocache is the ultimate goal, the journey to it is equally exciting. As you navigate the maze, keep an eye out for hidden fossils and other ocean nature. The thrill of the hunt is in the journey, not just the destination.

As you near the middle of the maze, it’s time to start your hunt. Remember, the geocache could be anywhere, so it’s best to check the cache page for a hint or peek at the spoiler photo for help. But always be mindful not to disturb the surrounding nature or caves during your search.

Before long, the familiar feeling of smooth plastic tupperware is in your hands, telling you that you’ve found the geocache. This geocache was placed in August of 2006 and has had over 3,000 visitors; now, that’s a lot of explorers! Add your name to the list and check this cache off your bucket list; you did it!
