Verona, a city in northern Italy, has long been a symbol of love. Its most famous attraction, Juliet’s House, with its iconic balcony, is a must-see for fans of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, as it plays a pivotal role in the play.

But what’s the connection between this romantic landmark and geocaching? Let’s unravel this unique blend of love and adventure.

Geocachers arrive near GZ’s courtyard and proceed through a Gothic-era entrance portico. The walls host thousands of graffiti hearts, dates, and dedications from lovers.

Once you reach the courtyard of Juliet’s house, you’ll be struck by the building’s ancient exposed walls and the pointed arch. But the bronze statue of Juliet truly captivates the eye, a testament to the enduring power of love.

A common activity of visitors to the area is writing letters to Juliet. Each year, thousands of people worldwide write to Juliet to talk about their love life, and there’s a group of volunteers, known as Juliet’s secretaries, who make sure each letter gets answered.
