Hidden somewhere in Amsterdam’s winding canals exists a lock-tight geocache and beaming with Favorite points. Find some floaties, flippers, or fins for this geocache because ‘buoy’ you’re in for an aquatic expedition!

Before you cross the bridge when you get there, you have to find a proper vessel for your voyage. There are a few options to choose from if you don’t want to swim to this geocache. The canals of Amsterdam are world-famous for their architectural charm and their role in everyday life. No wonder the cache owner sought out a place to hide a geocache that highlights the unique element of this bustling city.

With your vessel secured, it’s time to hop in the water and navigate the waterways. Along the way, keep a keen eye on your GPS to not miss a turn or the correct bridge, as the waterways are mostly one-way and you don’t want to miss your opportunity.

Through the arches and waterways, and depending on where you leave from, it can take up to an hour to reach the bridge-over-geocaching-waters. At ground zero, there are a lot of hiding spots for this Lock-n-Lock within a lock. You may experience rising and lowering levels of stress in pursuit of the cache container.

Underneath the bridge are beams, magnetic opportunities, and nooks where a geocache could be hidden – the hard part is just standing on the boat without losing balance.
